Nat­ural Pro­duc­tion For­est Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Progress
Dur­ing 2004–2009 period LEI cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process for Sus­tain­able Pro­duc­tion Nat­ural For­est Man­age­ment have been applied in Suma­tra and Kalimantan.

To date there are 6 (six) pro­duc­tion nat­ural pro­duc­tion for­est man­age­ment units which have been cer­ti­fied by LEI, cov­er­ing 1.102.052 hectares, namely:

4. PT. ERNA DJULIAWATI

6. PT. SARMIENTO PARAKANCA TIMBER (SARPATIM)
   

To rein­force mar­ket recog­ni­tion over LEI labeled plan­ta­tion for­est prod­ucts, LEI con­ducts the fol­low­ing pro­mo­tion pro­grams:

1. Issue state­ments in mass media with regards to Green Prod­ucts demanded by Euro­pean and Amer­i­can mar­kets.
   
2. Advier­tize in 2007 Garuda Indone­sia Inflight Mag­a­zine, on fur­ni­ture prod­ucts made of LEI cer­ti­fied raw mate­ri­als.
   
3. Pro­mote LEI as an orga­ni­za­tion and its prod­ucts at Asmindo Pavil­lion in the 2007 Export Prod­ucts Exhi­bi­tion, Jakarta Inter­na­tional Expo.
   
4. Pro­mote LEI and its prod­ucts (both LEI cer­ti­fied ser­vices and prod­ucts) at the Green Pavil­lion in the 2008 IFFINA Exhi­bi­tion, Jakarta Inter­na­tional Expo.
   

In order to main­tain LEI cer­ti­fi­ca­tion sys­tem cred­i­bil­ity in sup­port­ing sus­tain­able pro­duc­tion nat­ural for­est man­age­ment activ­i­ties, PT Mutu Agung Lestari, an LEI Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion Body, sus­pended the cer­tifi­cate of PT. Dia­mond Raya Tim­ber, Riau.
